Before commenting on your friend's reader's theatre, please read this

Dear pupils of 4 Joy,

Please read this before you comment on your friends videos.

Points to note:
1) Use the right language, be polite and respectful
2) Comment individually- Mention who are you commenting about. Is it Mr. Arable, Mrs. Arable or Fern
3) Use the rubrics that was given to you to guide you.

Comment about the:
- clarity of speech (were the words clearly read, or were they muffled and not clear)
- loudness (was it loud enough)
- speed ( was it too fast, too slow or just right)
- pronounciation (were the words pronounced correctly)
- tone (was there a change in tone of voice according to feelings)
- facial expressions (did facial expressions show the correct feeling)
- movements (was there movement, did it look natural or was the person like a robot)
- posture (how was the person standing, was he standing straight or looked too casual)
- confidence (did the person look confident while presenting or shy)
- eye contact (did the person look at his fellow presenters occasionally while presenting or did he look at the audience)

It would be good if you could clearly point out to your friend where he could improve just as we do in class.

For example:
1) Fern should increase the loudness of her voice when she says "Do away with it" as it shows that she is shocked and unhappy.
2) I wish Mr Arable would practice his lines at home as he is stumbling alot on his words. He is missing out and adding his own words.
3) I like the way Fern ended her last line clapping and smiling which showed her happiness in being able to raise the pig

Please give your friends effective feedback... Don't just say the tone is good, tell me especially which part you like the tone or if you mention that you wish that Mr Arable would show more expressions, which part are you talking about.

Ms Uma
